DO you think mutations are good or bad? Why?

In biology, mutations are changes to the base pair sequence of the genetic material of an organism. Mutations can be caused by copying errors in the genetic material during cell division, by exposure to ultraviolet or ionizing radiation, chemical mutagens, or viruses, or can occur deliberately under cellular control during processes such as hypermutation. i don't think that mutations are good beacuse it is cause by genetics, and once it is caused by genetic you can't do anything about it cause it is in your gene and there is no treatment or cure. if it wasn't cause by genetic then you might have a little bit of hope for your disease or what not.
